| I have just returned to my computer here at school after thanking the HP Laserjet for printing my work. No, not thinking to myself "Thank goodness, it printed..." I was standing there, alone (Thank God), and as it spit out the last of my paper I'd been working on, I, without hesitation, said "Thank you." To the printer. (Note the incredible excess of commas in the previous paragraph.) Befuddled, I turned around, and walked back here, wondering if gratitude toward inanimate objects is some sign of the onset of an irreversible type of techno-dementia.(So...needlessly...wordy...) Or perhaps it's just that I haven't really slept in three days. That, too. Be well... -JOHN- |
